The hugely successful Coburg Night Market is back for its seventh season in 2016, running every Friday night 5.30pm – 10pm at beautiful Bridges Reserve for four weeks from 25 November – 16 December.


The Coburg Night Market is an experience for the whole family and brings together an evening of tantalising street food from around the world, an array of some of the city’s finest artisans and some of the best local acts, providing the perfect backdrop for summer Friday nights in the lead up to Christmas.

 

Established in 2010 by Queen Victoria Market, the Coburg Night Market has been proudly presented by Moreland City Council since 2014.

Take a trip to Greece tonight as the folk from Rebetiki set the mood with their take on traditional Greek tunes, then allow yourself to be transported to El Salvador, and be sure to pack your dancing shoes, because you won’t be able to stop yourself when Mariachi Los Romanticos hit the stage. ¡Vamos a bailar!

Driven by wild violin and chased by accordion and double bass, don’t miss Melbourne outfit Vardos entertain tonight with gypsy and traditional music learnt from Roma musicians during their travels in Eastern Europe. Australia’s favourite Psych-Latin outfit, San Lazaro, have been getting rave reviews nationally this year following the release of the album La Despedida, so prepare yourself for some Latin heat when the eight-piece hit the stage tonight.

Tonight is your last chance to catch the market for the 2016 season and we intend to finish up in style!

Feel nostalgic for 1950’s harmonies as Melbourne’s gaggle of vintage singers, Bobby and the Pins, bring their pinup style look and 1950’s hits to Coburg, moving through the crowd and entertaining all in their path. The powerful sounds of Italian women’s choir La Dolle Della Luna, and New Orleans-inspired jazz outfit the Sugarfoot Ramblers, will also hit the stage tonight. Get in early to secure your prime patch of grass in front of the stage!
